Adolf Fargnoli Ianetta (La Bisbal d’Empordà, 1890 – Barcelona, ​​​​1951), was a cabinetmaker and goldsmith from the circle of artists and craftsmen who became known in Girona around the figure of the architect Rafael Masó, along with the sculptors Fidel Aguilar and Jaume Busquets, and the painter Joan B. Coromina, among others. His brother Valentí was a renowned photographer specialized in images of all the towns, monuments and landscapes of the regions of Girona. Installed in the city of Girona and later in Barcelona, ​​​​Adolf Fargnoli obtained great recognition especially for his caskets, chests, small boxes and carved wooden jewelry, often worked in fire and in which he embedded ceramic pieces, ivory, stones or metals, and baptized them with poetic titles.  He also made several pieces of black ceramic in the Marcó de Quart workshop. He held individual exhibitions throughout Catalonia and the Spanish State, and also in different cities in Europe and America.
